I want to aggregate selected content from a large number of web sites that are maintained by a variety of groups in my organization, for the purpose of producing a portal or master catalog. One possible approach is to supply appropriate XML tags to be inserted into individual sites, then crawl the sites to pull the content into FileMaker Server. Someone has suggested to me that the FileMaker Web Viewer functionality might be part of the solution, but I did not get clarity on precisely how that would work. I would be interested in hearing about alternative approaches. Thanks in advance.
