myFMbutler releases PrinterSwitch 1.6.1

Manage printers & PDF's from within your FileMaker® Pro solutions

AALTER, Belgium -- March 6, 2007 -- myFMbutler today announces the release and immediate availability of PrinterSwitch 1.6.1, an update to the plug-in for Windows and Macintosh that allows you to easily control printer switching from within your FileMaker solutions.

About PrinterSwitch

myFMbutler's PrinterSwitch is a plug-in for FileMaker Pro 7, 8 & 8.5 for both Windows and Macintosh that allows you to easily control printer switching from within your FileMaker solutions.

Moreover, PrinterSwitch also allows automatic PDF creation from within FileMaker without the need for a 3rd party PDF printer driver. Unlike the built-in PDF functionality of FileMaker 8 & 8.5, PrinterSwitch PDF's can also be created in runtime solutions.

What's new in version 1.6.1

• Improved PrSw_SelectPrinter function: it now accepts both a printer number or a printer name as a parameter, which makes it easier to implement basic printer switching. The example files have been updated to reflect this change.

• [MacOS X] Fixed an obscure bug in the demo version where the demo splash screen would not always close after the demo had expired.

• Several smaller bug fixes

Pricing and availability

PrinterSwitch 1.6.1 is available today. Pricing starts at EUR 59,- or USD 75,- for a single user license. Multi-user and developer licenses are also available.

PrinterSwitch 1.6.1 is a free upgrade for registered users. Anyone still using a pre-1.5 version will require a new license key.
