Security Challenge Issued for new Account Manager 2

FM::NEXUS ANNOUNCES ACCOUNT MANAGER SECURITY CHALLENGE

– FileMaker Database Administrators Are Challenged to Find a Way to Bypass Account Manager, and Win a 30GB iPod –

OAKLAND, Calif., March 14, 2007 – FM::Nexus today announced the Account Manager™ Security Challenge for database administrators of FileMaker® 8 or greater. Starting immediately administrators can sign-up to participate, and are challenged to bypass Account Manager 2 (now shipping, see related release dated today) to successfully log-in to the "Amy" database. The winner will receive a 30GB iPod.

"Account Manager 2 makes centrally managing database access, accounts and privileges more effortless than ever before, but effortless means little if security isn't assured," explained Vincenzo Menanno, founder and president of FM::Nexus. "The security challenge puts Account Manager 2 to the test, to really see if it is as air-tight as we think."

The challenge itself requires administrators find a way to bypass Account Manager to log into the "Amy" database directly. Participants are assigned a username and password, and tasked with bypassing Account Manager to obtain the master-level username and password for AMY.fp7, which is also stored inside Account Manager. If a participant is successful, a dialog box will appear containing a code to send to FM::Nexus with an explanation revealing the method used, which ends the contest.
