myFMbutler releases Clip Manager 1.0 for FileMaker® on MacOS X

Take control of the FileMaker clipboard

AALTER, Belgium -- March 15, 2007 -- myFMbutler today announces the release and immediate availability of Clip Manager 1.0, an innovative new product that allows you to easily manipulate the FileMaker clipboard on Mac OS X systems.

About Clip Manager

myFMbutler's Clip Manager is a program that allows you to store FileMaker fields, tables, scripts, script steps and layout objects in an easy-to-use library.

You can copy and store objects that have been copied to FileMaker's own clipboard, and then re-use them later.

You can also easily make batch changes to the clippings in your preferred text editor, and then send the updated field, script or layout back to FileMaker's clipboard.

Features

• Store complete FileMaker fields, tables, scripts, script steps and layouts in an easy-to-use library.

• Send FileMaker elements from your library to the FileMaker clipboard, for easy creation or update of databases.

• Make batch changes to the clippings using your preferred text editor, and then send the updated field, script or layout back to FileMaker's clipboard.

• Store 'text' clippings, such as Custom Functions and AppleScripts for FileMaker, for easy retrieval later on.

System requirements

• Minimum requirements: FileMaker Pro 8.0 or higher on MacOS X 10.4 or higher - this will allow storing and restoring of layout objects only.

• Recommended: FileMaker Pro 8.5 Advanced or higher on MacOS X 10.4.8 or higher.

Pricing and availability

Clip Manager 1.0 is available today for EUR 29,- or USD 39,- for a single user license. Multi-user licenses are also available.

A demo version is available for download from www.myfmbutler.com

I hope that the launch of fm9 will give a few more buttons, say copy as well as paste, which to me is one of the most wexing problems, that you manually have to tie variables to the def. after you have pasted a CF from one solution to another.

Daniele don't dispair! - a windows thingy doing similar exists:

Perhaps I'm being considered a busybody, but when developers need such techniques, isn't it stumbling near to DIY'ing instead:

Thumbs up to Bruce, for tinkering the syntax on "our?" behalf!
