Newbies Kimberly Michelle Posted March 16, 2007 Newbies Posted March 16, 2007 Hello I have a small database I use in my class. The layout contains general information about a student as well as 3 photos. I want to be able to produce a report (which I already have constructed) with the student’s information on it as well as one of the photos I select from the three. How do I check or select any one of the 3 photos on the layout and it be the one that prints out on the report. Thank you, Kimberly My computer is a Dell 9150 I use Filemaker 8 on XP Home if that helps
Genx Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Hi Kimberly, firstly Welcome to the forums Although this would be easier in a related structure, you can do this fairly easily nonetheless. Take a look at the small example file attached. imageSelection.zip
Newbies Kimberly Michelle Posted March 16, 2007 Author Newbies Posted March 16, 2007 Thank you for your help, I was kind of nervous about posing something as simple as this to a veteran group, but I just could not figure it out. It took me a few minutes, but with a little help from our computer guy we were able to duplicate your solution into ours. I teach 4th graders and I like to have a current photo and information sheet preprinted before we go on any trip in the event one gets lost, I have current information and photo for the police if needed. Thank you for assisting me with this problem. Kimberly
Genx Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Glad to help : There's lots of users on different levels on these forums though, so don't stress and don't hesitate to post if you have questions, we're here to help. Besides lol, this definitely isn't the easiest question I've ever answered :)
