March 18, 200718 yr Unlike many who develop projects that require minimal to high elements of security logins and passwords, my small standalone programs are for my association members. No logins, no passwords, nuttin' just good old fashioned access to a membership database with lots of useful information. Problem is, something got twisted in the Accounts and Privileges area and I am faced with answering a login request (Admin by default and no password), both in the development version and the compiled runtime version. It will not allow me to compile when requesting no Administrator privileges, etc. etc. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Ver 8, the privileges area is at the default setting. Please someone, what the heck do I need to do to have it back to normal with no crazy LOGIN screens? Appreciate some assistance. Roy
March 18, 200718 yr File > File Options > Login Using: Account Name and Password U: Admin P: ... that or make the guest account full access and login using guest.
March 18, 200718 yr Author Been there, done that. Even tried saving the file to a new name hoping it would kick the process of the login screen. Any other suggestions please! Roy
March 18, 200718 yr Not without knowing what it is that this: something got twisted in the Accounts and Privileges area ... really refers to. Is admin account [full access]?
March 18, 200718 yr Nothing particularly mysterious going on here. There must be at least one Account for the file to open and the runtime engine cannot be created without that account's being present in the data file or files. Either create a subordinate account and assign it the privileges you want and then tag the files to auto open with that Account, or assign the desired privileges to the Guest account and use it for the same purpose.
