I'm new to this forum.

I have a question about the export formats. I've been in my position for 7 years now and have always export dbf files to statisticians. I fear this is a huge mistake. Also I can't upgrade at this time.

Today a new statistician showed me that one of the export number fields that calculates had a value of 0.0000000 in it even though in the database it was clearly an empty field.

Thus began my search for what would be the best export format. I noted that someone said export as a mer file to retain field names, but then change extension to csv. Do I need to change the selection "Don't format output"? Or is the data going to come out just fine from there on? Is there a restriction as to how many fields or records can be exported?
