start and end dates in script

How do I request start and end dates in script and then use those fields to select those records that fall in that range. I also have another criteria after those records are selected

Show Custom Dialog

"I also have another criteria after those records are selected "

Then make a new request with the script step:

New Record/Request

But BEFORE the Perform Find step.
