Hello,

I have a problem with a text field (Customer full name) in a registration table on my file. The problem start wend I create a new record and type a customer name, Filemaker freeze and the sand clock appears. This has never happen before.

If I disable the (Auto-complete using previously entered values) the problem disappears. Perhaps my file is corrupted?

can you post the file to see if the problem is reproducible elsewhere? You could try deleting the index and re-indexing.

Does it hang if you choose Insert...From Index.

If you make a clone of the file and then start adding new records, does the crash go away?

It doesn’t hang wend I insert from index

After deleting the index in and re-index the field the problem go away.

Is this common in Filemaker ? Or this can be a sing of corruption in my file?

If in fact my file is corrupted, is there a way of fix the file without rebuilding the solution?
