I want list out like this

27 MARCH 2007

I have the name and task field as "TEXT"

How it can be done... is it simple......?

You should try using a columnar list with sub-summary parts. The parts would be:

Header

----------------------

Sub-Summary by Date

----------------------

Sub-Summary by Task

----------------------

Body

----------------------

Footer

When the found set is sorted by Date and Task, and layout is viewed in Preview Mode or printed, the sub-summary parts will show.
