Noobquestion: parts within parts wothin products ?!?

Hi all,

im kind of beginner (one year in FM8) and now have a bad problem. Here is my real world Problem im trying to solve within filemaker 8:

I have an Amplifier made of several PCBs (Printed Circuit Board)

Thoses PCBs are build (as u can guess) with lots of single parts.

Some Amplifies are build with the same PCBs. They difference between thoses Amplifiers is mostly the amount and type of PCBs. Maybe, you can say, those PCBs can be viewed as Modules.

What i like to do is following:

1. When i get an Order i would like to print a list of all Parts i need to produce the Amplifier.

So i can give it to an employee, who can get the parts from the dump.

2. I like my Database to inform me how many Amplifies of each type i can build with my current stock. (Can be on Button...)

This is for my infomation, when to order...

3. When i write the invoice of an Amplifier, the database should subtract the PCBs and of course the parts from the Stock.

Is this possible and how can i do it?

Maybe you can help me or give me links (articles, videos etc) where i can learn how to do it?

Charley
