July 23, 200718 yr Occasionally, we have a problem where the user will perform a daily routine find and it will return no records found in FMP 8.5 when it should return a count. Also, when I do the same find in FMP Advanced 8.5 it will return a found count. Not sure what is happening but I would like to know if anyone has any ideas.
July 23, 200718 yr FM8.5 and FM8.5 Advanced should perform finds exactly the same way. If you're getting different results, then maybe there's something else going on. It would help to know a few more details: 1. The specific OS and FMP version is of the client, the developer machine, and the host. 2. The types of fields being searched (if there's a calc involved, what's the calc?) 3. You say "occasionally", does this mean after it fails, the same search works if it's repeated by the user a second time?
July 23, 200718 yr Author The OS is the same. It is a calculation field (Total Paid) based on summing the amount in the related table ledger. Once the find is broken it remains broken for the user.
