sudharsan Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Hi, I am currently working on Instant Web Publishing(IWP) using FM7. I first created a layout in a database in a local developement machine and did a IWP and it worked fine. Then I tried uploading it into the server and tried the same. I tried to enable the IWP option of the DB in the server and it gave me a error saying "Filemaker could not share this over the web because instant web publishing could not be started". Please can someone help to solve this and do a IWP on the FM7 Server Advanced. Thanks and regards, Sudharsan
Steven H. Blackwell Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 First, be sure that you are actually running FileMaker Server 7 Advanced and not FileMaker Server 7. You can do this by checking in the summary section of the Server Admin Tool. Second, be sure that the web server is running. That's Apache 1.3 on OS X, IIS 6 on Windows Server 2003. Third, be sure that the fmiwp bit is set in the Extended privileges section of the file you're accessing for the Privilege Sets attached to the Accounts accessing the file. Fourth, be sure that the Web Publishing Engine is configured with an ID and Passcode for FileMaker server and that IWP is turned on in the Config Console. HTH Steven
