Merit Solutions Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Our technical chaps say that Windows XP Pro drops connections if there are more than about 10 concurrent users- how does this affect FileMaker Pro 9 guests of FileMaker Server 9. Would it be better to use Windows Server 2003? We are going to need about 30 users. Should we also disable FileSharing on the server? (some Container fields will hold references to Excel docs on another server on the Network)... best advice gratefully received
Steven H. Blackwell Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 I'd recommend using Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition SP 2 if even you had only 10 users. And don't enable sharing on that dedicated server. Steven
