Dchall_San_Antonio Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 I'm 600 miles away from home working on a project with a guy who is not using FMP. Are there basic instructions here for making a hobbled runtime version of my database for him to use? I'm using FMP 8.5 Advanced
Tim W Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Hi, If you did a complete install of fmpa 8.5 the electronic documentation should have installed also. Look at the development pdf file in filemaker folder under english extras. If not available, I have 8.0 adv and in that pdf chapter 8 addresses runtime solution creation. I copied chapter 8 from my pdf for you. The instructions seem to be rather straight fwd. HTH, Tim Chapter8.pdf
Dchall_San_Antonio Posted August 16, 2007 Author Posted August 16, 2007 (edited) Thank you. It is there. When I installed FMP I was under a crunch to become productive immediately, so I installed it fast and started using a file developed by another guy. I never looked to see what all I had - hence my questions to this forum. Now that I know there is documentation in the same folder, I'll have to look at it (duh!). Thanks again. Oh, and my coworker downloaded FMP 9 so we don't need the runtime anymore. Edited August 16, 2007 by Guest
