Every so often I manage to define a text field and place it on a layout in such a way that the text inside it doesn't wrap properly; i.e. at word boundaries. Instead it breaks at letter boundaries. To illustrate:

Does anyone know what controls this?

A text *field* or a text *object* on the layout?

If it's an object, check the paragraph formatting.
