I know you can export a FM database to an excel file. What I don't know is can you name the exported exel file base on a calculation?

Yes make a $variable to paste into the Save Records as Excel - dialog, where filename as well as path is written, say:


Set Variable [ $where; Value:"file:" & Get ( DesktopPath )& "my.xls" ] 

Save Records as Excel [ File Name: “$where”; Records being browsed; Use field names as column names ] [ Restore; No dialog ]
