Gday!

At the moment when I export into excel, a new file is obviously created with no formatting.

What I would like to be able to do is have a 'pre-formatted' spreadsheet that the data just gets added to. I hope this makes sense...

Is this possible? It's just that this export needs to happen on a daily basis and needs to be presented to the marketing department, so it would be much easier to have a pre-formatted spreadsheet rather than having to 'make it pretty' every day...

Cheers!

This can be done with an xml/xsl export. But it is not so easy. I guess the difficultly depends on how "pretty" it needs to be. There is an example at the FileMaker XSLT Library site. It is not for the latest Excel 2007, but should work. I've not used it myself.
