September 13, 200718 yr Newbies Greetings, Still a pretty new FMP user. I started defining my databse fields while importing; thus none of my fields show up on the layout. I know that in layout view I can manually drag out fields one by one, but is there a way to have all of them be placed on the layout simultaneously? Thanks!
September 13, 200718 yr You could use the New Layout wizard to create a new layout with whichever fields your want. But except for hidden developer-only layouts, I think it's easier to add fields one at a time as you're designing the layout. The best way is to option-drag (alt-drag?) an existing field that already has the correct formatting applied, you will then get a dialog to reselect the field.
September 14, 200718 yr You can copy fields (Shift-click to select) from an All Fields Layout, though. The formatting can be done easier via Format Painter.
