Can´t change database served by FMS9 but can directly through FMP9

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a problem that just came up today - before that everything was running OK. I have a database which I run from FMS9 on OS X 10.4.10 and when I´m opening the database with the FileMaker Client FMS9 I can´t add or change a thing. When I try to open the same database direclty with FMP9 I can type in it and everything works - so I would think that the problem should come from the server and the administration passswords or something. I didn´t changed anything and have my system and an administrator account which should be able to have full possibilities with the database. Are there any settings inside FMS9 that I may have overlooked?

Would be very thankful for any help, best regards - Christoph

Check the OS file permissions on the sub-folders where your files reside and on the files themselves. It should have Group "fmsadmin" with "Read and Write" permission.
