The updater is now available on the FMI web site on the downloads page.

1. Fixes in FileMaker Server 9.0.2.151

1.1. In Mac OS X, the Web Publishing Engine stopped responding after running for approximately 5 days. This has been fixed.

1.2. A problem has been fixed in which Instant Web Publishing might display the wrong value from a value list. In version 9.0v1, this problem could occur when one value list item is a substring of another value in the list. For example, if a text field uses a value list containing “room A7” and “room A73”, and the field is set to “room A73”, Instant Web Publishing erroneously displays “room A7” instead. In version 9.0v1, the erroneously displayed data could then be committed to the database, if the user entered Edit mode and clicked Submit.

1.3. A problem has been fixed that would have caused PHP web publishing to stop working correctly on or after October 7, 2007.

1.4. Sites generated by PHP Site Assistant

1.4.1. User credentials used to log into a site are no longer exposed in the URL and the web server log.

1.4.2. When you click the Delete Record button and then click Cancel in the confirmation dialog box, the record is no longer deleted anyway.

1.5. FileMaker Server performance statistics are no longer prevented from being properly added to the Performance Monitor in Windows Server 2003.

I've installed the updater but only have problems. I can no longer log in to the admin console, and the original FMS 9.0 installer is not available anywhere on the FileMaker site so I can't do an uninstall/reinstall.

Where is your original disk image?

That, Steven, is the $64000 quesion. I had downloaded 9.0v1 and installed using my developer licence and we seem to have a problem locating the image.

I assumed that I could simply download it again to install, but the only thing currently available seems to be the v2 updater.

UMmmmm! According to http://filemaker.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/filemaker.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=6621

where they are saying :)

"Important information for Customer using the FileMaker API Public Beta or PHP with FileMaker Server 9 or FileMaker Server 9 Advanced."

This is not a "problem", this is a time-bomb limitation implemented voluntarily by FMI!

We bought FMSA9 and we use the non-beta PHP API distributed with FMS9v1. And some weeks later, I learn that our software will stop to work if we didn't install the future updates !?

I'm not sure this kind of move is legal !? I mean, if there is known limitations, I would like to know them before purchasing the product !!

Is this the professional way to make the things?

The "time-bomb" is for the PHP API Beta for use with FileMaker Server 8 Advanced.

The problem described is that apparently the code for the released version of PHP API with FileMaker Server 9 (note that FMS 9 Advanced is not required) contained this same expiration. And it shouldn't have contained that. Therefore the updater for FMS 9.0v2 corrects that.

For those persons who inadvertantly deployed the Beta in production systems, FMI has given a 90 day extension on the expiration. There is a patch to download for use with FMS 8 Advanced.
