mcyrulik Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 (edited) We have a 2 machine setup. Our Database server is a windows machine(Server 2003), and our web server is an Xserve. Each machine has 2 network cards. On the web server 1 goes out the the internet where all our requests come from, and the other is a crossover cable to the FM server. The FM server has 1 that goes out to our internal network, and one is the other end of that crossover cable from the web server. the two NICS on the crossover cable are configured to be their own network. This works great and we have had no problems until now. We had to change some IP addresses, and reconfigure our network. thanks to our internet provider and our network admin - and now some issues have cropped up. In trying to sort all this out, I noticed something that I can't track down elsewhere. In the server advanced properties of the FM server what address is supposed to show up in the web admin console area? Right now, it is the External address of the web server but I wonder if it should be the the address of the crossover NIC. Can anyone clear that up for me? Edited September 25, 2007 by Guest
