Forcing FM9SRVADV web publishing to work with Apache 2.2.6 and PHP5 5.2.4 instead of IIS

I have a Windows 2003 Server SP2 installed with Apache 2.2.6 and PHP 5.2.4 working.

How can I configure the Filemaker server web publishing feature to use Apache and PHP5 on my Windows box? The server deployment's enable web publishing does not detect the Apache web server.

The error message "Could not get a list of web servers from the specified worker machine" appears.

We do not want to IIS as our web server option.

Any manual configuration instructions would be appreciated to have FM9SRVADV work with Apache and PHP5 instead of defaulting to the only option, which is IIS.

Thanks in advance.

Stephen Knight claims to have done this although I haven't tried it myself. He provided the following links in a message to the Dartmouth FMPRO-L list in February 2007.

The only supported way to use Apache is with OS X. Have the web server be a worker machine.
