correct display of grr go layout bug

Featured Replies

FMP 8.5v1 Adv , Mac OS X.4.10

This problem still persists, the using layout component of a go related displays completely incorrect detail:

while the actual script definition is:

Go to Related Record [ From table: “Letters_status”; Using layout: "Letters" (Letters - table) ]

the display in ScriptMaker is:

Go to Related Record [ From table: “Letters_status”; Using layout:

“Prescriptions” (Prescriptions) ]

While one has tolerated this for years, I had never noticed that the error carries over to print. This was brought to my attention by a client, who had requested a minor modification, and I had sent them a copy/paste extract of the print/preview; this particular client likes to be involved...

Whilst I may have missed a fix to this, over the last few years, if not, and assuming this is something everyone else experiences as well, why is this still an issue?

I think it was fixed in FMP 9.0.

It's only a display problem.

yes, just checked FM9 demo, and appears to be fixed.

Guess I am now forced to upgrade to 9/9A if I want to run Leopard. So nice of FM not to be planning updates to 8.5/8.5A for Leopard compatibility.

As for only a display issue, I had always only seen it as such, and a minor irritation. I now realise as it carries over to printing scripts, then documentation is affected.
