November 8, 200718 yr I've created an 8.5 reference lookup database for automobile enthusiasts containing multiple tables that I want to share on the web. To use the information I've stored requires the user to select a series of scripted buttons, one at a time, each selection taking them deeper into the database. Each selection provides more focused information until they've reached the particular part of the database they want to view. [i.e. button 1 - selects a year, which displays every make manufactured in that year, button 2 - selects a particular make, which displays every model manufactured by that make . . . etc] My question is . . since the user interaction requires active changes to the database display, can I have more than one online user active at a time? It seems that multiple users would 'step on each others toes'. Is the base limit of 5 web users from filemaker aimed at 'static' information or is there a way I can provide multiple users access into my database, each one acting independently?
