I am a novice trying to get on my feet.

I would like to build a history db for screen only with a list of events on the right (two fields: year and fact). No brain killer...

On the left, however, when an event is clicked on the right, I would like that a description of the chosen fact appear like a large note.

I could do this, one above the other: the fact description in the header and the list of events in the body.

But I would prefer a screen presentation, horizontal, with a list on one side and the description (the whole card in fact) on the other side.

Is this possible with FileMaker?
