Venom71 Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 (edited) I've lodged this with Filemaker Australia earlier last week, but really haven't received any satisfactory answers ... yet. I recently bought a new iMac. I deactivated FM Pro Advanced v9.02 before using the Migration Assistant to clone my user account from the MacBook to the new iMac. When I attempted to activate FM Pro Advanced on the iMac, I got a general activation error (50040) error message. I tried the upgrade to FM Pro Advanced 9.03 hoping this may help - but without any success, as the same activation error appears Any clues? Cheers MacP EDIT: Fixed it myself. I renamed the Flexnet Publisher folder in the Library|Preferences Folder and the activation worked correctly - and FM created a new / correct FlexNet Publisher folder. Newbies jerak1133 Posted February 16, 2009 Newbies Posted February 16, 2009 Thanks so much for posting your solution - I too had a successful resolution dumping the preference file. You just saved me a ton of hair-pulling.
Newbies nsjfoster Posted August 1, 2009 Newbies Posted August 1, 2009 Thanx so much for this. Not sure how you figured this out but my new iMac thanx you.
