IWP on FMS8Adv - "Database not available"

Featured Replies

I am trying to set up a FM Server Advanced V8 to serve up some IWP DBs as web pages. I have everything in place (that I can tell!). I can load up the IWP Homepage which correctly lists all the DBs on the server - BUT when I click on any individual database to open it I get an error message "Database not available"

The DBs works fine if I serve them up using a copy of FM (ie: IWP with the client software). I have opened the DBs directly with FM while in position on the server and checked all the accounts and privileges are fine.

Any ideas?

Got it - I did not have a good connection between the Server Admin and the Web Engine (Server Admin, Clients Section - Define the Web Engine)

If anyone knows why I can only see 25 records at a time in list mode I would be geatful to know - I would like to see them all at once.

Because that's the limitation of IWP. For Table View, it's 50 records.

A workaround is to use a portal. Then all records will display, although the user may have to scroll.
