In need of filterkey

I keep track of personnel hours in a lineItem table, all the dates and all the hours.

The input of those dates and hours is in an 'Hours' table, in a portal, related to the lineItem table, allow creation of records.

Every day a user has to make a new record, fill in the date and the hours.

I show those records in the portal based on an ID value.

The every day input seems to be too much work, so they want an 'automatic' record generator at the beginning of every month.

No problem with that, it is working.

They also want to see, in a portal, for every given employee, the records based on 14 days, starting September 1.

With a total of hours for each given period.

Any hint how to make the filterkey for that ?
