AnFrusch@pepp Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 Hello, a big question: I've used the command line to and close the databases (command fmsadmin CLOSE). When I run this through command line the prompt asked to confirm and to specify admin userid and password. As I would like to schedule a close command (synchronizing it with my UPS software so I can properly close my files before a sforced shutdown due to a lack of power), is there a sintax to specify userid and password and bypass confirmation request? I cannot find this information in using HELP CLOSE of fmsadmin.exe. Thank you in advance!
Steven H. Blackwell Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 Check the general Server help file PDF that is on the install CD. Or look here for it. Steven
Mikhail Edoshin Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Specifying login and password is a general option applicable to many command, so it's explained in “fmsadmin help options”. For user name and password it's “-u” and “-p” or “--username” and “--password” respectively.
AnFrusch@pepp Posted January 14, 2008 Author Posted January 14, 2008 Hello, thank yuo very much! I've forgotten HELP OPTIONS parameters of fmsadmin.exe, in fact -u and -p options are working (I find also -y or --yes parameter to perform the choosen command w/out prompt of confirmation). Thank you again!
