Accessing WPE from a Remote Location

Hello All,

Is there any way to restart FileMaker web publishing engine from a remote location? I have FileMaker Pro at my end with admin rights.

Please let me know if it is possible.

Thanks,

Vikas

FileMaker Pro is useless here. Depending on the network configuration you may be able to access WPE control panel at yourdomain/fmi/config. Otherwise you'll need remote access to the computer that has the server on it.

Hello,

I am working on updates to xsl files available in serverc:Program FilesFileMakerFileMaker ServerWeb Publishingxslt-template-files. I do not have credentials to make a remote access to the server. Sometimes, while making changes to XSL files, WPE stucks.

I would appreciate if you can brief me on how to configure the network so that I can access WPE thru web, which means http://server_ip/fmi/config.

As of now, it is not working.

Thanks in advance,

Vikas

I'm not sure, but changes to XSLT files should not affect WPE that much. Maybe the stops are caused by something else.

As far as I understand you're making changes in XSLT files and testing the results, right? If you can access these pages via browser, then you should already be able to access the control panel at /fmi/config on the same server.
