Hi I was wondering if I must use the drivers found at https://www.actualtechnologies.com/product_opensourcedatabases.php

to connect to a mySQL database or if there is a free alternative?

if the server is running the ODBC driver can I manage with 5 connections? Or will it grab one connection per FM client logged on to the system??

Regards Jocke

On Windows the free driver provided by mysql does the job.

On Mac OS X you have to buy the drivers from actualtechnologies. The free test driver provided there is only sufficient for basic testing.

Ok so what about the numbers of users? Is it the FM Server that talkes with mySQL so there is not need for more than 5 user licence of the mySQL ODBC driver or how does that work?

Regards

Jocke
