Popup Calendar vs. Leopard Spaces

Just encountered a problem with calendar popup when using Leopard Spaces.

I'm on Mac OS 10.5.1, FMPA 9.0v3

I have 6 Leopard Spaces setup. My FMP window is in Space-2. The layout has a date field with a calendar popup. Following the date field is a text field with a drop-down menu. When I click in the date field, Spaces shifts me to Space-1 and displays the popup calendar floating unattached. If I select a date, the calendar disappears and the drop-down value list for the next field appears, also floating in Space-1.

I reported the bug to FileMaker.

Has anyone else encountered the same problem? Does anyone know of a temporary fix? For now, I'm forced to run FMP windows only in Space-1.
