Simple Yes/No test to determine if container field is filled

Hi folks..

I think this is a simple one, but can't work it out. Using FMP 9.

I have a summary page, which logs whether a certain document (such as an invoice) has been sent to a customer.

I save the documents as JPEGs and store them in picture Container Fields. I can assume that the document has been sent if I have dropped it into the container field.

How can I make my "Sent? Yes/No" checkbox set on the summary page automatically display "Yes" in the event that the relevant container field has something in it?

Thanks for your help!

If the document file has been "embedded" in container field, rather than being Inserted [x] As reference only, then the Length ( container field ) function will return a length > 0.

If it's been Inserted as reference, then they'll be 0, and you'll need to use an external method to verify that the file is actually still there. If however nothing has ever been inserted in the field, you can use GetAsText ( container field ). If nothing has ever been inserted in the field, then not IsEmpty ( container field ) will be blank.
