FileMaker Server 9 taking a while to open files

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Dont know if this isthe norm, however we're hosting approximately 120 files on a Windows 2003 (SAN amchine) with FileMaker Server 9.

When we reboot the machine it takes approximately 40 minutes to open all the databases. Is this normal?

The datafiles are approximately 800MB, although I dont have the systems specs (I'll get this from teh IT dept, I know they are Xeon processors).

I do have access to FileMakers admin console to give you settings from this if you need them.

Thanks

Jalz

If this is what I think it is, FMI recommends that you not use SANS to host files. use a dedicated server.
