Export from field, strange linebreak character

I just ran in to a strange problem when exporting data from a field to a text file.

The problem is that the "line feed" or "carrige return" (don't realy know the difference) character ends up as a little square instead of a line break when I open the file in Notepad.

I'm trying to create a HTML file, and it's quite messed up and hard to read.

Anyone had this problem, and solved it?
