backup schedule path validate fails

fms 9.0v3 under xp

need to create hourly backups, and a directory for each hour has been added under

/C:/Program Files/FileMaker/FileMaker Server/Data/Backups/

as per:

/C:/Program Files/FileMaker/FileMaker Server/Data/Backups/0800

/C:/Program Files/FileMaker/FileMaker Server/Data/Backups/0900

etc

(should the hourly sub directories be named with letter prefixes as per bup0800 etc ? )

when I specify the path , e.g.

filewin:/C:/Program Files/FileMaker/FileMaker Server/Data/Backups/0800

Status flags them as - not a valid path

What might be up?
