no print over LAN

solution served by fms9, terminal services xp running fmp9

client on Mac laptop, logged in to terminal services, using open remote to open the databases under xp; can print from the FM solution to the office printers, but on a different local LAN, can not print from FM.

In the same location where FM will not print, they can use notepad to print text files.

Printing is on in their assigned privilege set, but Print and page setup under the file menu are greyed out.

If a login is made from the same point, under a full access privileges admin account, then print happens, and also the print and Page setup menu items are available.

Any ideas what to look for?
