In a 3 server configuration do I need to send calls to the WPE IP Address or the FM Server IP address?

right now we just have a 2 machine config. and filemaker.ourdomain.com points to our fm server. that's what i'm using for all of my PHP and XML API calls to FM. I'm guessing I'll just need to setup another subdomain that poitns to our WPE and start using that instead??

Any info would be great. Thanks!
