Rich S Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 Forgive my density--and I feel a little sheepish asking this--but why is it that in the Edit Privilege Set windoid you can disable the "Allow user to modify their own password" privilege, yet when an end-user signs in to a password-protected solution he or she can still change their password, anyway?
Steven H. Blackwell Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 Can you be a little more detailed? This should not be happening. Steven
Rich S Posted March 22, 2008 Author Posted March 22, 2008 Thanks for asking, Steven...and now I feel very embarrassed: the problem doesn't arise now. :S However, I'm on another computer and the file has a dreadful history (20-30 "Recovers" and many a computer crash) so I'm going to see if I can reproduce the problem again on the other machine. ...and yes, as a "best practice" I know I'll have to rebuild the file from scratch, regardless.
Steven H. Blackwell Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 20-30 "Recovers" and many a computer crash) Uh oh. Well, that being the case, all bets are off on this. But don't be chagrined. Items such as this occur with some regularity. One of the hardest items to diagnose is the one that will not reproduce consistently. Steven
