We are trying to get FM9 Server ADV running to do webpublishing. The server installs fine and run as a normal server.. When I am in the Admin Console and try to deploy the web server portion it will not connect. I have tried various ports 80, 591 and get the same result. have rebooted, reinstalled. I have a little program to monitor the IP ports and I am seeing no activity on 591 during the test portion of the deploy. We do have a normal web page running on the machine. I turned it off so port 80 was availible.. same problem. I have tried everything I have found on this (and others) site. W2003 server.. all updates. If I go to a data base and try to set it up as IWP usable, I get an error that says Can't start WP engine.. If port 80 is in use it does notice that and ask if I want to change the port.. At this point I don't even know exactly what question to ask.. maybe I need step by step install instructions.. I think I am just missing something basic.. Thanks for any help..

EDIT-- fixed it.. FM wants to use the "Default Web Page" (no matter where it is pointed). I was using a different name for the default web page. oh well.. now it is working..

When using FileMaker Server Advanced for IWP, you do [color:red]not enable IWP within FileMaker Pro itself. You should, however, click the fmiwp bit in the Extended Privileges section of each Privilege Set that you want to allow to access via IWP.

Then, configure the server and broadcast the files.

I am having the same problem as Duke. Only here's a kicker.

on a machine with Vista Home Premium , Everything runs as it should.

On a Machine with Vista Ultimate, No joy when it it come to the webserver setup.

The server will install, but web server and PHP will Not. I have tried everything as Duke did,

Including turning off Firewalls and connecting directing to the modem illiminating port blockage.

Are their known problems with FMI SA installer and IIS on Vista Ultimate? If so are there any fixes?
