Is there an easy way to export records to Excel?

I can use "Export Records" script to get the desired fields to a tab delimited file which Excel can convert to its format, but I don't get fields names this way.

try exporting to .dbf format and then opening the dbf file in excel

If you are on a PC have you thought about using MSQuery from within Excel??
