Newbies brandall Posted April 29, 2008 Newbies Posted April 29, 2008 (edited) All- Thanks for the moment of help here! Does anybody know a way to simply back up a working config of FMS9 on Mac, such that you can drop in the settings/deployment to another machine during a migration - without going through the "write all your settings down, then recreate" that the FMS documentation suggests? The /Library/FileMaker Server/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.blahblahblah.plist file seems to have the settings I need (schedules, etc), but so far dropping that in to a new config isn't working crackerjack. Any thoughts? Many thanks! Edited April 29, 2008 by Guest
Steven H. Blackwell Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 [color:red]There is no supported way to save Schedules or other Preferences for FMS 9. That said, these are most likely found here: /Library/FileMaker Server/Library/Preferences/ByHost/ I don't think I would tinker too much with this, but it [color:red]probably can be done. Just be careful. If you trash something up, you'll have to do a complete uninstall followed by a reboot followed by a complete reinstall and a reboot. Steven
