url to go straight to DB

Featured Replies

Hey,

I have server 9 running and I am trying to go directly to a database uploaded via IWP

Right now if i go to say http://127.0.0.1/fmi/iwp/cgi?-db=thisDataBase.fp7&-loadframes

a log in screen comes up first. Guest is enabled so anyone can get to it

but i want to be able to go directly to the database without seeing this log in screen

is this possibile?

regards

Marcus

Have you tried making sure the database is set to login automatically using the guest account? Just having the guest account active is not enough.

hey thanks for the reply! I am very new at File Maker, but they use it at my new job. How would one go about doing this

Im not sure if it will solve the problem but its worth a try...

You have to go to the File Options while you have the file opened locally and you then need to input an account and password to connect with automatically.

Guest is enabled so anyone can get to it

but i want to be able to go directly to the database without seeing this log in screen

This will only work if the Guest Account is the only Account enabled for IWP access.

you have to change the homepage at the server, also make a redirect with a javascript.

Just then it will be possible to access directly.

Success!
