Invisible button formatting woes

Has anyone run across the issue of invisible buttons behaving awkwardly in IWP on Internet Explorer?

Our solution has a series of radio buttons that, when selected, perform a script. The scripts are triggered by invisible buttons placed over the radio selections, unfortunately in IWP on I.E. 6.0 (XPsp2) the buttons are to the far left and far right of the scripted buttons and are not over the intended area, i.e., directly over the radio button itself!?! It's as if the radio buttons are in the foreground but they're not.

We're running FM Server Advanced 9 on Mac OSX 10.5.1 and our clients are accessing the database using IWP via I.E.

Anyone else experienced this?
