I am converting a fmp6 to fmp 8.5, I noticed that the attached script(s) do not work properly. whenever i use it, it inserts values from the previous entry. this is not good.

I have tried to debug but no luck. attached is a pdf of the scripts.

I think the error is because you created the record in the line items table and entered data, but did not use Commit Record afterwards, leaving the related record open in its window, which "locks" it from entry from other windows, such as your portal. The rules for committing records have changed quite a bit (for the better) from FileMaker 6. You will save yourself from some grief ( -) by reading about this.

In the (large) "migration_foundations.pdf" whitepaper available from FileMaker (4/21/2004), there is a very good chapter about this, by Ilysa Kazar. It has comparisons with 6's behavior.
