Newbies killertomate Posted June 9, 2008 Newbies Posted June 9, 2008 My first question here (please dont worry about my worst english): I use the MooPlug for creating the folder-name automatically by the generated project numbers of the database. This works fine - with 24 clients. But only ONE computer says "go away with your f***ing plugin - I dont use that". The plugin cant be registered on this PC. I've copied the plugin in the right folder, I've installed Filemaker three times again (also as Admin). Nothing will work in this PC with the MooPlugin. It wasnt shown at the Plugin-Preferences. Any idea, what to do? :
Fenton Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 You should likely contact the author, as he's more likely to know something about this. But first be sure you have the latest version of MooPlug. I'm not much of a PC guru (understatement), but here is some info I've collected on the subject: First, install the .NET Framework, available FREE from Microsoft. If the .NET Framework is not installed, some plug-ins will fail to appear in FileMaker's list of available plug-ins. For more information on getting the .NET Framework from Microsoft, please visit: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/netframework/aa569265.aspx ("General Users") To directly resolve this issue, you can download the Microsoft .NET Framework Redistributable 1.1 from Microsoft's website at: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=262D25E3-F589-4842-8157-034D1E7CF3A3&displaylang=en You can also run Windows Update to do the download and install the Microsoft .NET Framework. Second, for FileMaker 8.x: There is also a DLL issue with FileMaker 8+ on Windows that can cause the plug-in to fail to load even if the .NET Framework is properly installed. The msvcr70.dll file must be present or some plug-ins will fail to appear under FileMaker's application preferences. The msvcr70.dll file should be located in the FileMaker Pro 8+ application directory. If you do not have the msvcr70.dll in the FileMaker Pro 9 application directory, you can download it from here: http://download.wmotion.com/msvcr70.zip FYI, the library file msvcr70.dll, contains program code used to run programs written using Microsoft Visual C++. Msvcr70.dll is required for programs (like plug-ins) written with Visual C++ to function correctly.
Adam Dempsey Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 In the case of MooPlug, you should try installing the 2005 Runtimes files - http://www.microsoft.com/DownLoads/details.aspx?familyid=200B2FD9-AE1A-4A14-984D-389C36F85647&displaylang=en
