I am interested in hearing about the backup procedures that are being implemented with filemaker. We currently use tivoli which needs volume shadow copy to run. So we are actively persuing an alternative procedure.

[color:red]Shadow Copy should not, repeat not be run on the same machine as FileMaker Server.

Use the FileMaker Server backup scheduler to make the first, local backup. Then push out a copy of that backup elsewhere on the network. That second copy can then be accessed by any of several enterprise backup systems.
