Value List from MySQL table?

Featured Replies

Hey,

Just wondering how a guy is supposed to set up a MySQL table so that it can be indexed. The goal is to get FileMaker to be able to use the data to create a value list. Seemed like a pretty simple requirement before I embarked on this journey...

When I assign the appropriate fields in the ValueList dialog box in FileMkaer, I get the error "This value list will not work because one or more fields cannot be indexed. Proceed anyway?" Does anyone have a handle on what I gotta do to set up the MySQL table up correctly so that it passes the data to FIleMaker appropriately so that FileMaker can set up the ValueList?

Any help or pointers in this direction would be muchly appreciated!

This is one of the things that (as yet) cannot be done.
