Newbies Keith Hulse Posted June 28, 2008 Newbies Posted June 28, 2008 Hi, I am new to Filemaker. I have just installed Server Advanced 9.1 R2 for Mac OS X and applied the 9.0.3.326 update. When I start launch the Admin Console I get the following: "The Database Server is not available. To edit server deployment, please start the Database Server first." When I press restart I get the following: Unable to start the database server. Please contact your system administrator for assistance." I am running fully updated Leopard on a Macbook. I have seen this error elsewhere on the forum but nothing seems to apply. Can anyone help? Many thanks, Keith Hulse
Steven H. Blackwell Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Try using the terminal to start the FMS daemon before attempting to run the console. HTH Steven
